Gabriel Marino
Came to Greece from his native Argentina in 2008, bringing with him a great deal of experience in Argentine tango. In 2011 he was crowned European Champion at the Pan-European Competition (Turin, Italy) representing Greece and was a finalist in the world competition at the Buenos Aires tango salon twice. He had the honor of dancing in some of the best Theaters in the world such as the Teatro Colon de Buenos Aires (2002 & 2004), Palais de Versailles (Tangokinesis), at the Odeon, as well as in various Casas de Tango. He was a member of the Compañia Tango-Malambo. He formed “El Abrazo” in 2012 with the idea of creating a space dedicated to authentic tango, as it is danced and taught in Argentina.
Vasia Thanopoulou
Began practicing Tango in 2009.She has been teaching since 2012 and has presented her work throughout Greece as well as at the Zotto Academy in Milan. She has participated in the theatrical performance Tango Brujo with Sebastian Misse-Andrea Reyero.
In 2016, Gabriel and Vasia made their first appearance as a dance couple at the Herodion with Mora Godoy. In 2017, they became members of the Tangueros del Sur company where they presented the performance Romper el Piso at the Herodion Theater under the direction of Natalia Hills. In 2018, now being members of the company, they traveled giving performances throughout Greece. In August 2018, they were in Buenos Aires giving guest shows at various Milongas. In 2018, they once again had the honor of dancing at the Herodion with the Tangueros del Sur company in the presence of the legendary Amelita Baltar in the world's first choreographed opera Maria de Buenos Aires.
Fabian Ballejos
Was born in Buenos Aires. He began taking traditional dance and tango lessons at the age of nine. He studied with the greatest teachers in Argentina, such as El Turco, Rodolfo Dinzel, Mingo Pugliese, Carlos Copes, Pepito Avellaneda and performed in theaters and milongas in Buenos Aires. He also worked in a Ministry of Culture program where he taught tango to children and adolescents at a professional level. In 2002, he came to Greece to work as a dancer and teacher. He has participated in many tango festivals and events in Greece and abroad over the last 20 years.
Zaneta Leonidi
Started dancing tango in 2006 when she was a student in Paris. She taught tango in the Netherlands, where she lived, from 2009 until 2018, when she returned to Greece. He has studied with Jorge Dispari, Fabian Paralta. Gabriel Angio and Natalia Games among others.
Fabian and Zaneta joined forces in dance in early 2023.
